here's my son, Cotton.

he's a bright sweet kid.
his spew is sweet & sour.

i end the clip with the lullaby that i sing to him to calm him down. the night he was born, at 9:02pm, he was whisked off to the NICU where he was poked & prodded and left to himself. i stayed around with him and sang this song until he finally calmed down. i eventually had to go to bed at around 1:00am. he was 4 hours old. i didn't want to leave.

He really calmed down when you started singing. Jenna used to like it when I sang Pearl Jam to her.

Congrats on such a handsome young boy you have! Here's hoping he achieves as much as his namesake (or at least grows into adulthood without losing his appreciation of the blues).

    thanks so much.
i'll keep him on the blues as much as i can.

music can be scientifically calming... something about stimulating the hypothalamus... um.... and soothing the spew projector

My son is 7 months old and he's got way less hair than that! :p When he fusses, I just whip out the ol' "Rock-a-by baby" lullaby and he smiles at me. One of these days he'll understand the lyrics and then I'm buggered.

Has he squireted poo at you yet?
  • Increase Mather 1 year ago
mostly, he's just shmeared it on my arm.

    lovely sentiments, bro.

See, no one told me about the projectile poo - it was all "oh they pee on you this and they pee on you that" but at that ungodly hour in the morning of his first night home, he goes and shoots it off all over my leg.

Still, they're adorable ain't they and it's not everyday I'll use that word ;)
