And fret not. Last year, I didn't get my footage back until the day before it was due, and I had to "essentially" lie to DPS to unlock the lighting studio where I edited all night and ended up finishing about 15 minutes before the final crit.
And I'm sure your film will turn out far better than mine did. Ha. Best of luck to you guys!
