Over looking the charm of rustic old barns, lush vineyards and Mt. Diablo as a backdrop is Thomas Coyne Winery; located in South Livermore Valley, CA.
Thomas Coyne, the winemaker, started producing wine in 1989 under his own label. In 1994 he reopened the old "Chateau Bellevue Winery", built in 1881 by French engineer Alexander Duvall. In this historical winery you will be greeted by Tom and Emilie Coyne offering samples of their fine handcrafted wines.
Wine LabelThe wines consistently win awards in local, regional, and state competition. The grapes are purchased from the Livermore Valley, El Dorado County and Contra Costa County. Wines produced are Merlot, Mourvédre, Petite Sirah, Syrah, Grenache. A Rhone blend called "Quest ™", and a Bordeaux blend called "Confluence ™", as well as a small amount of Pinot Blanc and Viognier.
The winery is open weekends noon to 5PM for tasting and sales. Bring a picnic, catch a glimpse of sheep, Red Tail Hawk, deer and enjoy tasting fine wine.
