1. 'The First of Me' Cinematic Music Montage [720p HD]
NOTE: Your computer and internet connection must be of sufficient speed to properly view this video, otherwise it may pause/skip frequently and the playback will not be smooth.

***Presenting the final, complete version of 'The First of Me' Cinematic Music Montage (includes the entire song). Featured in 720p HD and high quality sound. Enjoy!***

Video footage was shot with a Canon Vixia HV30 high-definition camera using the stock 43mm lens and an IRV manual focus ring @ 24 fps in cinema mode, with lens hood + neutral density filter, and a Velbon DV7000 tripod (only in the smooth panning shots... a good portion of the video was done free-handed). Video footage captured/pulldown removed with Cineform Neoscene, edited in Sony Vegas Pro 8 and colorized with a Magic Bullet plugin.

The occasional/strategic blurriness, occasional camera "shakiness" in some scenes, and the darker, surreal coloring are all intentional artistic attributes of the video. Also, the actor is not supposed to be lip-synching in every scene (i.e. intended to go from voice to his own thoughts and/or ambience of the video scenes). This was my very first real attempt at video with the HV30 (and decent videography at all in fact), so please feel free to leave your comments and/or hit the "Like" button! =)

-Story: A young man faces some tough decisions. The overall theme is open to interpretation. This production is meant to be a surrealistic music montage, thus continuity is not the primary goal of the video.

- Edited, produced and directed by: Nigel Palmer
- Starring: Steven Bristow
- Co-starring: Spencer James Crump & Nigel Palmer
- Music: (see credits in video)

Only flaw was the red flash when the punch occurred. Way to bright and distracting against the color grading in the video. Maybe just black would have been less distracting? Nice job, tho!

Thanks for the comment! Interesting point you bring up; I actually need to re-render the video anyway to correct an error in the credits, so I wll definitely keep that in mind!

I have noticed though that many people's computers or internet connections are too slow to even get to see that 1 frame anyway, so I will see how black or a tamer color looks instead.

    Thanks again!
