A jar of peanuts opened its lid just now and the nuts inside started screaming in unison:
    WAR IS PEACE
    FREEDOM IS SLAVERY
    IGNORANCE IS STRENGTH

I turned them all in. We're doing ok over here now.

Your lighting is nice! I still can't get over how amazing HD looks.
  • dalas verdugo staff 2 years ago
Thanks, lighting as always been my weak point, so I try to improve. This was actually just a 100 watt bulb in a "work light" reflector bowl thing, hung from the ceiling and pointed at maybe 45 degrees.

I hope some day I can study under a lighting guru and finally figure out how to do it really well. I have lots of photographer friends who make me jealous with their lighting skills.

i love those work light thingies! hey are so so cheap, yet effective. if you splurge a little and get the florescent bulbs they don't get so hot.

That looks awesome. The beard, the wide angle the lighting.

Is this a newer Dharma Initiative orientation video from the next season?
  • dalas verdugo staff 2 years ago
Hah! Maybe you're right! If the writers' strike continues, we'll have to finish the show fan-fic style!

Cool production dalas, particularly the audio. The remember line really complemented the rest of the video.

I loved the mood to the piece, like a scene out of David Lynch's Inland Empire. The re-verb on the voice is nice and the blue/brown earthly colours suit the mood very well, I don't know if the choice of colours were intentional though.

I lost you once I saw the 38S jacket.....sorry dude.
I'm going to have to try and listen to it without watching.
  • Jeff Pope 2 years ago
    forget it....now I don't "feel safe"....in MY jacket with 100W lighting and...and...does my type have a reverrbbb/echo echo thingy to it....whatever.

    Can I trim your beard?
  • dalas verdugo staff 2 years ago
I don't know how to take your comments.

    I think he is crazy.

see what i'm sayin'....short sleeved jackets and beards can do that sometimes. Dalas isn't "crazy" he just needs a beard trim and a few hairs combed, but if you ask me i'd say it works for him....not short sleeved jackets though. i don't know anyone that can pull that off except maybe someone who has been on the "counsel of aeromatic wishes" for more than 2 terms.
  • dalas verdugo staff 2 years ago
The problem is that it isn't a short-sleeved jacket, it's just pulled up on my arm. It's a normal jacket.
  • Phil Gribbon 2 years ago
You do look a little like you have oversized arms/hands.
