13. 2009 Flaming Lips & Stardeath and White Dwarfs - …
8 months ago
Wayne and I knocked this one out fast. 1 day of prepping the animations in After Effects, 1 day of shooting and a 1 day edit/finish. This is my first video to ship using the Red. This camera is going to change me!

Just in case you don't know, the song is the Flaming Lips with Stardeath and White Dwarfs doing a version of Madonna's Borderline for WB's Covered compilation.
  • how did you composite the graphics?

Wonderful, but I think from 02:30 on the sound is heavy overmodulating (or the fault is at my speakers maybe).

So which bit is made in After Effects, couldn't it all be done with just the projection and editing?
  • Philipp Wortmann 4 months ago
yeah sure but i assume that the graphics that are projetcted need to be done somehow and fit with the music and so on

Pink Floyd meets Vangelis and Beck,(or something like that anyway.) touch's I liked, the hammer and sickle shirt, definitely the projector effects were great, the Gong, and he broke a drum!!!, how everybody began singing in great harmony as "heck" broke loose fine work. great success to all
