looks like the start of something cool. the camerawork is a bit jarring in places, so smoothing some of that out would help.

i think the black/white/red works really well, especially for the subject matter, but i think the introduction of yellow is a little awkward and the green part in the beginning almost looks like it's from a different piece.

that stuff is totally your call, but sometimes a more unified palette can help stuff like this and keep it "living in the same world" so to speak.

anyway, strong work. looking forward to the finished piece...

GREAT! Thanks so much for the feedback. I totally agree, the camerawork could def be smoothed out a bit. The color palette needs to be more unified, you're right. I will totally take a second pass at this when I'm getting ready to put together a reel. Thanks a lot man.

very cool ! nice work with camera depth of field.
I don't think you should unify your colors, just keep the same "B&W stuff with colorful backround" scheme you got all over the rest of your vid...It works great with blue and red, it should work with green too, but right now the first scene seems a bit overloaded to me...Brushes + sunbeams + frame + 2 diferent graphisms for the characters i think that's why it doesn't feel unified..
Also i would give a halftone effect to the presidents, that would be cool ;-)

Brilliance, my friend. This is top of the line animation. Do you prefer Motion over every other animation toolset you've used?
  • Andrew Cornett plus 1 year ago
Thank you so much, that means a lot! Do you mean the animation program "Motion" by Apple? I've only used it a little bit. Most of my work is made with After Effects and Cinema4D, and I think they're awesome applications!
