These are the first clips we filmed on the new camera with Reliance Skateboards and friends. HVX200. Shot at 60 frames a second.

And the effect of the dragged colours is not abberation. It's caused by the camera sensor. And increasing saturation will only highlight it. You could always batch out all the frames into photoshop and remove this effect (as it is constant with the same sensor)
yea i did most of the coloring in camera. and, except on afew shots i did color correction.
the new camera is awesome

i used some hi-8 camera that was my dad's for a few months...then my dad got a little mini dv cam...then saved money for a GL2 and the last 2 years i've been using the sony hdr-fx1...and i've had the hvx200 for 9 months now
no dollys, all handheld
any tips for people starting to film
like i've used some point shoots but nothing special im looking into actually starting though.

some tips....well just have fun with it, be creative, watch skate videos and figure out what you like about it and what you dont like about it, every aspect of a video is important ( filming, editing, music, skating) each one of these is important for the outcome of a video.
you get better by trying new things, don't stay in a box...be different....
