oh and according to the jar its full of B12 and folate. hrm. i could stretch that with my medical knowledge and say its good for women AND helps prevent heart attacks. haha. (ya know with the hyper homocysteine and its lame effects on atherosclerosis - homocysteine is broken down by folic acid. so in theory the more folic acid the less homocysteine and the less peripheral vascular disease and therefore less heart attack risk...ooh we could even stretch that to say some people are genetically inclined to eat marmite - newer research tells us that homozygous mutations on the MTHFR gene may indicate greater risk for hyperhomocysteinia...) oh oh and old crazy people should definitely eat marmite! to prevent B12 deficiency which is one of the top reasons old people present to the ER for altered mental status.
