nice work. I really love how you can take simple and static images that one might not find fascinating , and just flip it around into something so great. The sound was really gritty and raw. I love when you can slightly see "it" walking by through the cracks of the stall door. Very impressive.
fantastic sound engineering here! What an incredible storyteller you are... this kind of reminds me of the smoke monster on LOST. I got that eerie, oooh what's gonna happen to him racing heart feeling. Love it!
A very nice illustration of two things: 1) fear is better transfered when it is suggested (remeber Alien, 1978) 2) sound fx is very important in creating an atmosphere. Well done! I love it!
I agree totally with Ivan. The eternal and universal theme of fear is that of mystery. Great piece. I wish more of Hollywood used these tried and true (and very entertaining) artistic choices and methods. Keep up the good work, brutha. Peace.
I'm not much of a film expert like some of you guys. but I know what I like. And using the mysterious fear, like you've done so well here, is absolutely awesome.
You are remarkably talented, I hope you go far and I'll be keeping an eye on whatever you put here.
hi! that was an amazing film, I love movies that just use sound to express things without them actually being there. I have a question that I hope you could answer. In the last part where the guy walks out, how did you create the cracks and destruction in the bathroom because I'm pretty sure you didn't actually do that lol.
Thanks for watching. The damaged areas are from a photo I created in PSD. It was then applied to the scene with a simple layer mask. But technically, for the price I pay in tuition, I should really be allowed to destroy a few floors once in a while. The former solution just happened to be the easier one.
haha I thought thats how it was done but I just wanted to make sure. haha yea, destroying floors sounds like a lot more fun. Well thanks for lettin me know, I appreciate it.
and wow, im really impressed with your opening and closing titles!
must have been hard to shoot in such a small room...
Cheers and thanks.
thank you so much for watching...
