A Workshop on Chlamydial Infection was held in Prague, Czech Republic, on April 18, 2009. Featured International speakers were Prof. Trevor Marshall, Prof. Subramaniam Sririam (from Vanderbilt) and Prof. Thomas Rudel (from Wuerzburg).

This is the first of two presentations given by Prof. Marshall at that event. This presentation is titled "It is time to bury Koch - Infectious Disease transitions to an understanding of the Metagenome." Prof. Marshall uses the HIV and M.tuberculosis genomes to illustrate how the Th1 metagenomic microbiota interacts with the human genome to cause chronic disease.

A written PDF transcript is available from:

In addition to this presentation, Prof. Marshall also gave a second, more focused on therapies, which can be found at vimeo.com/4293599

There is a button to switch the HD OFF at the middle right of the video pane. Please use this if you need a lower resolution version more suitable for slower computers or slower Internet connections.

For clearest video on very large computer screens, please select the Full Screen icon and then click the "Scaling Off" button at middle right of the full-screen. This will display the slides at the correct HD resolution (1280x720)
