1. Low Light Christmas with ZR850
Just fooling around with my new Canon ZR850.
Filmed with shutter at 1/60 and the exposure set at -3. I edited the stock footage with Sony Moviestudio Platinum 8.0. Let me know what you think. Forgive me on my editing because I really rushed through it and filmed the tree without a tripod.

That's really from a ZR850? How did you get it to be displayed in HD? Also, what editing program do you use?

Yes it is from ZR850. I had a ZR60 which I knew how to shoot in lowlight situations. I use Sony Moviestudio Platinum 8.0 for all my editing:

I really liked this camera but unfortunately I took it back and got a HV20. This camera blows the 850 away.
I found the ZR are good camcorders but keep the easy shooting only in bright situations like outside. The rest set manually and you will get wonderful shots. As for displaying the output I just rendered it out in 1280 x 720 in Sony moviestudio. I found moviestudio is the most stable program on the market for its price range.

I would have recommended to export with a widescreen NTSC camera at 874x480, because you actually lose quality when you stretch a DV footage to 720p. At 874x480 you would still get the "HD mode" on Vimeo btw, so you would lose nothing.

Compared to the HV20 footage, the HV20 is better, but the ZR8xx cameras are not bad either.

I notice on my computer 1/2 way through the shot the picture doesn't fade it just hangs and then it switches over do you notice the same? I might have to repost the original because it was not meant to be like that. I am going to re-upload the shot but with my HV20.
