Alex, this is so ridiculously bad-ass.

  • brian kyle 6 months ago
Fantastic job! You really did capture alot of the eccentricities of a wesanderson-ian.
  •
  • Miss Col 6 months ago
    Awesome, that was really great!
  •
  • Daniel Hayek staff 6 months ago
So awesome. There was something about the narration tone or recording style that broke from the style a bit but otherwise awesome!
  •
  • Casey 6 months ago
    Hilarious!

  • Parker 6 months ago
Love the cutting of the meat and then not eating it. Very subtle observation.
  • David Jaques 6 months ago
not much of a subtle observation, i'm pretty sure most people noticed. but if that makes you feel artsy and different, then just keep thinking that!
  • Parker 6 months ago
I was talking about the filmmaker including a subtlety but if you going out of your way to let people know you noticed something that's *so obvious* in the original film makes you feel artsy and important, then just keep thinking that..who cares if you're a massive dick? It's the internet!
  • jtk 6 months ago
little Jaques, I'm afraid I fall in line with Parker on this one. Save it for youTube.
  • David Jaques 6 months ago
yes, i guess i just don't fit in with all the hipsters on vimeo. maybe i'll come back after i buy an animal collective album, a prius, and a flannel from the thrift store. and sorry for poking fun at you mate, anyways the video was great. very nice colours

Great video. Why would Austin have both a Ziller Park and Zilker Park? That's bound to cause confusion.

Haha, extremely accurate parody. Great job man!

  • Simon Packman plus 6 months ago
perfect. It could have been directed by Wes Anderson except he would have shot panavision or atleast arri.
  •
  • Kalvin Camp 6 months ago
This is pretty sweet. exactly like one of his movies. Wes Anderson is definitely the director that inspires me the most. the first of his films I saw was the "Life Aquatic..." blew my mind.
  •

    Devo - Gut Feeling
  •
  • Brendan Hildebrandt 6 months ago
    haha very nice :)
how do you get that vintage effect?
and i reckon the narration should be crackly like a radio broadcast kind of sound.
    but very good work :)
  •
  • Thomas van der Westen 6 months ago
    Great work!
  •
  • John Nouel 6 months ago
In the irregular grass paint, why the change of colors in the end?

Amazing job guys, You got the feelling. What did you use for the vintage effect?
  • John Nouel 6 months ago
Is the change of color in each last frame a problem or in purpouse?
  • Vegar Dueland 6 months ago
I wouldn't think that it was. This same thing happened to me when I used Apple's Color for color editing. When I exported this happened for no apparent reason.
  • Alex Cornell plus 6 months ago
The color shift at the end of each frame was an artifact of Color. I could have removed it, but like it for some reason. It kind of reminded me of the process and didn't seem to be too pesky

Requote: "Alex, this is so ridiculously bad-ass." It's also kick-ass. wow. super polished. wow. I kind of tried to make a 70's style trailer here: vimeo.com/1267019 I think it's more of a sketch now. Would be so awesome to have a Trailer Festival......maybe inside a trailer. or not. :P

Very good job, Alex. - and I LOVE your poster. I flipped out when I saw "Wes Anderson Festival" --- I would've driven down from Nebraska in a heartbeat.

The only thing this trailer is missing is tracking dolly shots! Otherwise, superb!

Wesley Wales Anderson is easily one of the most consistent directors out there.
While Tenenbaums came to mind at first there are even traces of Rushmore in your work.

Definitely a great guy to aspire to.
