We have several HD Stockshots. Ideal footage for your 2010 FIFA World Championship Football productions! See selection of our clips at: global-dvc.org/pond5.asp

We visit South Africa every year and have several boxes full of HDV footage with origional sound.

First the big Lion was used in many BBC close-ups and the young one in a tree I took 3 years ago with my first HDV Sony FX1, second a wild Leopard and Lions in Kruger Park eating a Buffel and Zulu Dance group in St.Lucia were taken march 2007 with my latest one Sony HVR-V1U (V1E), the Pied Kingfisher with 20x optical + 10x electronic extra so 30 x zoom that makes this camera ideal for nature& birdshots. The beautifull Gibbon named Atlas you can find in Monkeyland trees near Plettenburg with Sony HDR-HC1 and Shots Borneo Malaysia Dugong (manetee) with HDR-HC7 in a special EWA marine underwaterbag with Century fisheye.

On the other clip (Test 1) I show a streight from the new 8 Gig Extreme III SDHC card in the new BluRay VAIO VGN-FZ21Z laptop. We are now testing the new Letus35mm mini lens on the 37mm from Sanyo and Sony. See more illustrated info of these tests at Global-DVC.nl or Global-DVC.org

Prachtig, wat een beeld, nu ga ik toch ook maar over een HD cam denken, of is het al weer Blu Ray?

What a crazy reality. Nice juxtaposition.
  • Lyall Fvrphy 2 years ago
Perhaps Ian Lucero is seeing the juxtaposition of the traditional Zulu dancers performing in a very modern setting of the built environment.
  • Ian Lucero plus 2 years ago
Yes that Juxtaposition or "Double Dutch" :)

Then I was wondering, are these really traditional dancers or trained performers hired to perform at a tourist destination. Possibly not the "Lost Zulu dancers finding themselves in the modern world" fantasy I was thinking of.

thanks for introducing me to the Sanyo HD1000! I had no idea such an affordable HD camera even existed.

    Any opinions on it?

So was this really shot on a Sanyo HD1000? I'm surprisingly impressed by the quality.

  • daithi Locha 2 years ago
I need to know too! The sanyo HD1000 was slated in engaget, cnet and others. I held off from buying one. The choice is now between the sony hdr-cx6 and the hd1000. If thats the real video above I'm buying it on that alone.
  • Steve 2 years ago
Digital Video Magazine in the UK gave the HD1000 90% and a best buy award, with 5/5 for picture. OK it does not compare to a Canon HV20, but it does not claim to and it it certainly better than my 3CCD SD Panasonic. For what it is, it is brilliant - a true (coat) pocketable travel camera.

    amazing shots very sharp...

  • Beautiful shots ... must film some big cats ... We have a superb sanctuary near by … also a fabulous collection of silver backed gorillas, and none of these rescued animals are caged – they have open space to roam in.
    Great filming opportunity.

    Well done guys, great footage!

    Excellent footage...

Could you please tell me what you did when editing the mov files from the HD1000 in Sony Vegas?

Did you first convert them to another format...or?

    Thanks!
  • Jan van der Meer plus 1 year ago
Thank you, about our HD1000 footage in other clips; we just throw raw in Vegas Pro8 on the time line and edit, a bit jerky previews but it works, even with all other footageformats. Look at my other clip with the Jancam! Finalized in 1280x720.
