Your description line "The future is pancakes!" I can envision that being said in a somber tone by James Earl Jones....sort of like "This is CNN"

Pancakes in a can....I love the concept....what a country we live in..... :-)

Sweet - I am SO going to rush right out and get me some of that. I love pancakes but they can be so hard to make using the old-outdated methods.

Wow a first for me seeing this ( heard wafting rumors of batter in a can but,,,) Reminds me this past thanksgiving we came across,, get this SOY whipped cream (in a can of course ) and damn it was also good maybe cakes with some soy whipped cream and maple syrup mmmm,,,

This is totally weird, seeing as pancakes are really simple to make. One day everything will just be sprayed out of a can.

MMMMM canned pancakes. I wish it was the future like in the Jetson's where you push a button and food comes out of some sort of robot wall. Until then more processed and canned goods work for me.

Batter Blaster and Spray Cheez would go well together. Oh, and nice cast iron pan. I got a pan and a dutch oven for Christmas and they're great!!
  • dalas verdugo staff 2 years ago

weird!! I want to try it
  •
  • Patrick 2 years ago
That's crazy. I gotta go try it now.

Seriously though, batter in a can? Bisquick Shake 'n' Pour is just, add water and shake. I thought we had reached the height of culinary laziness when I saw Oscar Meyer's "Fast Franks". Who doesn't have enough time at home to put your own hot dog in a bun that you have to buy it pre-made? Now comes the "Batter Blaster".

    Gotta love the name though.

    I'm now craving pancakes.

I swear im going downstairs to make pancakes. I always loved doing it the traditional way. In most parts of the uk, most people would make the pancakes. Not saying that applies to the U.S. Batter blaster O.o xtreme
  • dalas verdugo staff 2 years ago
We usually make our own from scratch, too, but these ones were even better than homemade!
  • Nyenum 2 years ago
O.o. Awesome. I'll check it out (if it's in the UK).

Nadia, who I did the "Rocket Man" lipdub with, and I tracked down "Batter Blaster" the other day because of this vid. (wtf is up with it being in the chilled cheese section?) Gotta say it was pretty friggin yummy and was a huge step forward in the evolution of batter preparation. Thanks for the heads up!

Seems sort of rubbery when he tried to cut into it. That's one of the least attractive traits a pancake can have. Super convenient though. I've been tempted to try it but can't muster up the courage.
