Molly Goldberg was everybody's Jewish Mama. This movie not only shows how she created the sitcom with "The Goldbergs," but also how she influenced a nation as Jews were accepted into American society. Watch "Gentlemen's Agreement" if you don't believe there was ever a time when being Jewish in America was unacceptable. She also defended her co-star, Philip Loeb, against Communist accusations during the Red Scare of the 50's but ultimately lost him due to commercial pressure and then to a tragic suicide.
