it is creepy how freakishly similar we are. when i went to visit the hospital in Pisa where I was born, it too had been converted into a warehouse/storage facility.

My childhood perception of my home is so different from how I see it today. I had a wonderful childhood, idyllic really.

Now, I wonder how all nine of us squeezed into that house. The hilly street I worked so hard to ride my bike halfway up then all the way up as I grew stronger and older. The 8ft palm tree grew to over 60ft while I was there.

The hill is so short, trees all gone. Love is there.

Thanks for sharing your thoughts. It's good to see you (and the beagle) again.

I had 6 different houses in the first 10 years of my life (not all at once, we moved a lot because of my dad's job) and it was tough. We've been back to see a few of them, and they seem completely different. They don't seem the same at all, almost like when you meet someone who looks similar to someone you knew a long time ago, but has a completely different personality. It's wierd.
