That has to be one of the most incredible clips ever. I'm really impressed. You've got balls, boy! Very cold balls, but you've got them all the same.

When I started watching this it said 17 digs. Then I clicked dig and it had 19! Two of us dug it at the same time. Dank!

Did you look up how cold it was that night? (And did you ever read that London story, "To Build a Fire"?)
  •
  • Zach Klein 4 years ago
    Glynnis, yes and yes.

I checked the temperature, and it reached about -4F. I don't know what the wind chill was.

And, I actually told Paul about To Build a Fire just hours before we hiked out. I remember the scene where the man tries to catch his dog, to kill it, vividly.

That is awesome. Sitting here at home, I want to do it too. But I'm sure if I actually had the chance, I'd back out of it right away...

my friend says: anatomically speaking, urinating actually increases body temp.

Funny that you remember the dog part of "To Build a Fire" -- I'd nearly forgotten it. I, instead, remember the descriptions of his spit freezing and cracking before hitting the ground (-15F, I think). I thought about that part, especially, when reading about Paul's bathroom trouble. Yikes.

I love it. Of all the places I've been, I've not considered trying this yet. Guess, I'm too drawn to all the clubs and hot tubs after a fun filled day of boarding.
