It's just stringing photos together, no after effect. Each photograph is on the timeline for 3 frames.

Btw, do you take these picture on "sports mode" with the camera; where the camera takes multiple photos when holding down the button?

My camera has a setting to do bursts (where you hold down the trigger and it shoots photos consecutively until you let go) on any mode. I think i have mine set on aperture priority.

The best part is it's so easy to do. You just take a bunch of photos and then put them in any editing program, if you have a mac you can use imovie if you have a pc you can use windows movie maker and the program just strings all the images together. :-) Try it!
