Canon PowerShot SX1 IS handheld HD video with zoom - Cameralabs
5 months ago
A 38 second unmodified handheld HD video taken with the Canon PowerShot SX1 IS, using its 1080p mode. The camera was using its default settings including Image Stabilisation set to continuous.
The SX1 IS has a 20x optical zoom range equivalent to 28-560mm and you'll see a demonstration of this during the clip. The clip starts and ends with the camera fully-zoomed out.
Feel free to download the original MOV file and check out the quality on your own computer!
You may also be interested in the following videos filmed moments apart, allowing you to make a direct comparison between the cameras.

I'll also be uploading a 1080p video from the Panasonic Lumix GH1 soon.

Not a fair comparison
I was looking just for quality and detail. Since it is next to impossible to have 4 HD screens parallel running the 4 videos simultaneously I did the next best thing. I grabbed comparable frames and compared them.
In the end to check my findings I checked the histograms from the frames too.
