First video shot with my D90 - Strupload
<3 June 30, 2009 my brand new D90 arrived at work. I had to buy it for my friends' wedding shoot I have to do in August. My dearly departed d50 couldn't cut it. This video was taken immediately after I took the camera out of the box. No post production color correction, just strupload.
Lot of out of focus as I learn about all the funny little buttons. I can't wait to play with my camera after work!
This feels like a big step up from my poor broken d50 (RIP).

Anyway, fun video. I'm tempted to invest in a Canon Rebel T1i... I'm not sure, but does the D90 have both manual and auto focus for video? (really silly question)...
Don't worry, that's not a silly questions.
Okay, joking, I know what that is...
I'm convinced I should get a T1i now. UGH. Dear Grad School. Pay for yourself. Love, Tommy
I totally love girth for cameras. haha
More importantly, can I play with it tomorrow?
My D90 is a video camera with the functionality to take stills.
My D90 is an incredible dSLR photography camera with the perks of video capabilities.
j/k, j/k! looks super sweet!
It seems more people are shooting on stills cams. Was this shot at 30fps?
"i'm hungry. is anybody else hungry?"
:)
With those who like shooting stills for leisure and want video, I personally like the GH1. Yes, I know it's a micro 4/3rds camera and not a DSLR, but it's still pretty awesome and can hold it's own. I've had mine for about a week and a half, and I love it! Just a consideration fellow vimeo-ers. =)
Anyway, pretty cool to see you guys sorta at work...haha. =P
i am just going to chime in here, if people are concerned with the price of the D90, go for the D5000. Same sensor, you can put the same glass on it, and it is just as fun!
But it's definitely cheaper than the D90 and lighter and such. I like the girth of the D90.
I spent so much time researching and comparing the two before I bought mine because it seemed to make sense since the D5000 was cheaper, but they didn't exactly make things that much better than the D90.
So you think the D90 is a definite better buy?
:-)
But if you want to take more photos than video, the D90 over the D5000, personally, especially for the functionality of the info screen on the top. With the D5000, they eliminate that and you have to look at it through the LCD.
But I recommend going to a store and seeing which handles better for you personally. :-)
