I sneezed in my philosophy class. Mat said 'bless you' to me after I sneezed and I said 'thanks'. We continued to discuss what it means to exist while conscious of the absurd, or irrational as Kierkegaard would say. I heard a lot of passionate arguments from people with serious points of view. I kept my mouth shut for the most part, but at times I asked a few questions that I thought might be interesting to discuss. I think we can despair in the midst of existential angst or laugh about it. We may do both at times, and it is ok either way. I think it's better to be happy, in the face of meaninglessness. Life gives numerous opportunities for sadness. To have joy in the midst of an absurd reality is a choice. The universe does not care. Thanks to Mat for letting me use his camera.
