This was good. I think I prefer the first one, with a more messy look with arrows etc. But thats probably more time consuming I guess. Why did you cut up the dialogue in the other one and not this one?
  • missshellie 2 years ago
yeah i think i prefer the other one too...but they all have their own specific good qualities...this one I tried to make it feel more flowing and soft because of the dialogue content...I cut the dialogue up in this one too but its almost too smooth to tell. I do like the way the other one is more choppy.

I like the statement in this one (what she says).

I also find it interesting that I can't get a sense of what the people look like "underneath" - what they "really" look like; and I think it's because of the eyes drawn on top of the eyes, which gives truth to something I didn't believe before, which is when they put those blackout bars across people's eyes in pornographic or crime photos - like you wouldn't be able to tell who it was! Well, now I'm thinking, maybe you wouldn't.

yeah she's a good friend of mine and she's really well spoken, she's a writer.

i get what you mean about the eyes...but thats positive because the intention of these videos was to create a dialogue that I could call mine...by chopping up the monologue'd confessional type of talking these friends did for me. I wanted to make a comment on censorship and self-integration that comes with every relationship.
