A short documentary about DC-based artist Billy Colbert shot between July and December 2007.

Billy Colbert works from his studio in an abandoned warehouse at the corner of 14th and T streets in Washington, DC. The location couldn't be any hotter in terms of its development potential... So Billy can only occupy this space temporarily while the owners of the building search for development opportunities for their property.

In the meantime, Billy is creating a series of art that rediscovers criminal mug shots from the first half of the 1900s. Billy finds forgotten mug shots from around the United States, and through a layered screenprinting process, he brings a forgotten part of our country's history back to life.
