Bron-yr-aur Acoustic Guitar Solo Piece Attempt
6 months ago
My favorite solo acoustic from Pagey (Led Zeppelin's guitarist Jimmy Page on the album Physical Graffiti)
When I saw The Song Remains The Same, the scene of the band in a limo to NYC, this piece, (Bron-yr-aur) was playing in the background, I told myself, "I'm gonna learn how to play this in this lifetime. " My guitar buddy, Darrel (who introduced me to alternate tunings)showed me the actual tuning Pagey used CACGCE, and parts of the piece, so I sat down one rainy afternoon and figured it out..well, this is as close as I can get as everyone has their own sense of phrasing, and besides, I think it is more important to attempt to capture the feeling he was conveying so I just hope to do a little justice to my all time favorite guitarist's beautiful composition and acoustic guitar statement.
Jimmy Page made me want to play guitar. Amen.
