The candidates try to work through the confusion of the Public Authorities Accountability Act, which states that organizations like RIOC must make their actions public and obtain a profit in the fair-market thus benefiting the public. Residents and members of RIOC complain that the act stands in the way of bringing storefronts to Main Street. Most of the candidates agree that the only way to bring baked goods back to Main Street is to have a master leaseholder. Others admitted they don’t know what to do and push for more public input.
