Super Cub over Phoenix International Raceway
2 years ago
This video was taken on Saturday, November 10, 2007 -- the day of the Busch Series race at Phoenix International Raceway. Due to heightened security, I had to fly about 2 miles away from the racetrack. In this video, you can see the racetrack, a blimp, and several helicopters / planes, but unfortunately you cannot see any little race cars going around in circles.
Also, in an unfortunate turn of events, on my final approach to land my wing clipped a tree branch, which sent my plane into a flat spin. The plane survived, but the camera, which was mounted under the fuselage did not. The impact even knocked out the memory stick, which is why the video is cut short.
