In the Austral summer of 1999-2000, only ten thousand tourists a year were able to visit "The Sixth Continent," walk among its penguins and nesting seals, and cruise among apartment-size icebergs in tiny Zodiac landing craft. I was one of them.

Originally shot in 35mm color negative, these images were scanned from 4x6 prints or, in some cases, the negatives, enhanced with Adobe Photoshop, and set to motion with a program called "Photo to Movie."
