How Do I know he's not moving normally but everybody around him is moving at superhuman speeds?

He's just taking his time. He might just want to make sure he's doing it right.

My friend shot this. He said it was over 45 minutes and a ton of people asked him if he'd like help. I guess he was a classic cranky old man and gave everyone hell.

45 minutes to move 20 feet?!? Eat your heart out three-toed sloth! Man if that guy moved any slower he'd go backwards... IN TIME!

there was a woman moving like this in Notting Hill the other day.. it must take all day to get around the corner and back home

Basically, I get home from work and I notice this guy standing on the sidewalk shuffling his feet while holding onto a walker. I asked him if he was ok and wanted me to get him a cab. He started yelling at me to leave him alone. So, I went inside made something to eat and 20 minutes later I looked out the window and he barely moved.

So, I set up my camera left it running until the tape ran out (about an hour) then sped up the footage.

I estimated that he was roughly cruisin' at about 2.4ft. per minute.

OOh man! This is classic!! I love it! Poor old man. He needs a motorized scooter. I think tho, that if I tried to get somewhere and wanted to do it myself I too would get annoyed at all the help offerings. He must hear it so much. He needs a scooter or a sign that says, " dont bother".

The source footage is something like 10-11 minutes long, nowhere near 45 minutes. The lighting must have been added in post. It's probably the whole thing was staged.

I was bored and made 3 videos, which calculate or explain my results in different ways.

That's the simplest one; check the other two in my profile :). FYI I called him out on this and his only response was to call me an idiot and direct me to another version of the video, which aside from quality is identical to the youtube one I based everything off.

this is so funny. i hate getting stuck behind someone on the street that walks this slow....of course, I'm one of those annoying fast walkers.
