I was experimenting with various camera colour profiles and overdosing on magic bullet effects, this was never intended to be turned into a short but I thought I'd post it as I like some of the shots, especially the one where my sons face is lit by the TV.

Love everything I have seen coming from the EX1.

Did you use anything on the lens? 35mm Adaptor or is this stock lens? What were the camera settings? Was the blur via in camera DOF or done in post?

Nothing on the lens. Some shots were 720/25p, others 1080/25p. No shutter used.

I have posted some pics of the original (ungraded) footage so you can see what was done in post.

Thanks Paul. So the camera seems pretty tight in what seems to be a confined space (bathroom). How far were you from the subject? I currently have a Canon XL2 and in close I don't think I could get the image that tight, like in the tap shots. I would need wide angle lens or a heap of work space.

The DOF with the EX1 s one of it's greatest features, I think it's due to the half inch sensors (at least so I've read).

The camera was around 5ft from the tap. You can just see in the reflection that I was shooting from the door.

The more I read and see what this camera can achieve, the closer I get to saying bye bye to the Canon and hello to the EX1. Keep up the excellent work. Love your eye. Love your work.

I guess if those are frame grabs of the raw footage in the right hand column, you've proved that EX1 footage can handle some heavy grading!

Good to see a great camera in safe hands. :)
