Made with Processing. Audio by Goldfrapp ("Lovely Head" off her first album).

Working on a way to integrate lyrics into the visualizers. Read about my process here...
flight404.com/blog/?p=111

Yay, the bitrate was the problem (thanks to whomever suggested it... sorry, but in deleting the older version, I lost the comments.). So here it is in HD.

Beautiful. It looks like the words always appear in the same position relative to the particle they are associated with. It'd be great to see a version where the position/orientation was randomized on initialization, or based on some other properties of the particle.

Thanks all! Im glad you are liking it. Its a fun new tangent to explore. I had been avoiding visualizing songs with lyrics because of the troubles with the beat analysis but now I can use whatever songs Id like.

Kyle: I agree. It was more a proof of concept more than anything else. I was just testing to see if it all synced up the way I was hoping. I found some bugs so I am ironing them out now. Currently rendering a new simple version to make sure all is well. Using the text in the particle engine so there will be more variety. Probably will post it tomorrow.

Visual music. It starts to go into the direction of explaining to deaf person what music sounds like. In looking at it I visualize a woman in front a 1940's big band. Even though that was not the music style. It seems to capture the mood and feeling to certain degree.

    Holy crap, holy crap.

Was that at all time-dependent (aside from the lyrics, of course)? It seemed like it had to be staged in some way.

Also exorbitant thanks for the original file.

Are all negative comments deleted or am I the only one not impressed? Winamp has many visualizations that morph and do more than 1 trick. This 1 trick pony got boring after the first 15 seconds. Granted for those 15 seconds it seems like a cool concept... almost like a living organism or maybe the first few cells after fertilization (with a trippy light show added). But yeah, that gets old pretty fast. Basically compliments on it as well as criticism.
