If you're not watching this on Vimeo, it's not in HiDef. Taken with a Canon HV10 literally in my back yard the morning after the first snowfall of the season.

I used Adobe Premier Pro CS3 for editing and After Effects for the titles. Color correction was done to each shot to bring up the colors in very flat lighting.

Comments always welcome! Tell me what you think.

Good, I have Adobe CS3 suit, but do not know how to use it! I am using right now PowerDirector 6 which came with my JVC GZHD7, and it is very easy to use! I need good practice for Adobe CS3!

Working with CS3 is a constant learning experience. It's almost too powerful and the tools can be overwhelming sometimes. Best thing to is dive in and experiment.

Here all this time and talk of CS3, I thought it was photo only software. Adobe should do a mini vid of what it can do.
This is very nice video you did here. Plus taking camera out in the elements must be a challenge to keep it dry.
I'll keep looking for more. :)

    Thanks!
CS3 is comprised of a huge suite of products. I have CS3 Production Premium which is geared toward video. There are others for graphics, Web and more.
I held an umbrella in one hand and ran the camera with the other. No problem.
The next video will be of a local snow sculpture contest which should be up by the weekend. That was shot with my XH A1. It has a raincoat. It can go almost anywhere.

Great, and XHA1 looks like a My next unit.
I discovered this other software for added effects, digitaljuice.com/default.asp
I'm trying to gather highend gear and mounts for club motorcycle tours with smoooth as the quest. Not easy with big V-Twins from last attempt.

    hi

I have the exact same setup but I'm having a problem getting a result even close to your great product. Could you tell a bit about the workflow and export settings in detail, please.

    Thanks

    Morten,

First thing is to get the best images thru the lens as possible. I experimented with some different settings while I was shooting and used the shots that looked best. The only thing I did in post was color correction. This is key. Using the "Fast Color Corrector", I checked the white balance then made the whites white and blacks black. That gives you the dynamic full range of the image. Tweak the gamma a little to bring out the details in the shadows. Finally, I pumped the saturation. I think the average was 120%, but some shots were more.

Color correction is a huge subject and I'm still learning it. I bought a couple of books on the subject and they've helped me a lot.

    Hope that helps.
