how long does it take you to make these?
they have so much meaning. haha Does that sound wierd?
  • justin 2 years ago
Well, originally I was making them every single week. So I'd chop down about 45-50 minutes of raw footage into these 3-5 minute segments. I'd say in all the process took about ... 8-10 hours of actual editing. Maybe a little more.

It's weird how distant those memories are, especially considering it was only two years ago. So much has changed in the mean time, I never could have predicted it all. I wonder what this will be like to me in 10 years.

I like when Ricky is bragging about our new Tivo, and when Mira says, "It must have been very unimportant in my mind."

Anyway, another great vidblog, I love it.

Yeah definately, looking back on these I feel like I've lived a multitude of lifetimes.

I want you to come to live with me, and tape my life and make me one of these. And bring all of the CV guys with you, so the ratio of hot guys to me will be high.

I love your vidblogs so much; they have become sort of a daily fix for me.

My favorite bit was when the rain drops were moving up the window.

Once again, Jakob proves he is born to be a Star of the Internet.

The dance club footage had this really 70s feel to it. It was like those "high on drugs" sequences they have in movies where the music doesn't match the motion and you can't really tell what's going on.

Again... amazing. My favourite part is the sunshining through all the raindrops on the window... with sort of a starburst effect in each one. Great shot.

This is such a delayed and random comment, but I just watched this for the first time and absolutely loved it. It's like a time machine, to see these people I'm so close with now interacting more than two years ago. You're awesome!

It is so weird to me that all of the internet video celebrities that i discovered over the last couple of years for totally different reasons, are all connected to each other. i found vimeo cause of dave seger a long time ago but i never really got into till a couple months ago, when i saw jacobs vidblogs, meanwhile i found indy mogul on youtube when it was featured on the guru page, and now i start to find out that you are all friends and have been for years... its like you guys own the internet! i pray some day my life is as exciting.

Very insightful comment! It's true! I think about such things quite often ... I'd love to make a chart someday about how exactly I am where I am now. Maybe a video ... could be fun. It's freaky though, it really is.

I think part of it is that the barrier for entry in online video in those days wasn't easy - it was a pain in the ass ... codecs, servers, buggy editing programs ... the folks who cared enough to break through those barriers had the pluck to make themselves successful. Seems like now things are hitting on all cylinders - there's more of us out there - collect 'em all!

I would love to see that video, i think allot of people would. perhaps it would give hope to the rest of us who's careers are still in the... tentative phase. I hope i do see such a video in the future.
