I love the pauses in the piano music as the flower opens
  • danLinfield 2 years ago
Yeah, sometimes you have to know when to get out of the way! Doing something on the piano that mimics a bloom would not make it any more beautiful.

yes, thats also my question. This slow motion shots are so nice in HD.

This was about 8 days of shooting but I didn't use all of the footage.

    Really lovely detail in this.

Do you have it set up that the camera runs off mains power? I find using my Ricoh on battery for timelapse stuff there is definitely a maximum of about 3 hours of shooting with a photo taken every 5 or 10 seconds.

I'm sure that if I have to change the battery mid shoot that there is no hope of me getting the frame back exactly the way it was before, resulting in occasional jumps in the playback.

I know for my old Powershot A95 that there was a power adapter that could be bought - I wonder if there's something similar for the Ricoh, or does the A510 run off USB power?

I use an AC adapter with the A510. That would be cool if they cool power it off of USB.

I had good results using Energizer Lithium batteries. The camera outlasted my laptop.
