Wow... Sounds awesome.
Not exactly the same thing, but I'm going travelling for around a month next fall with some friends (I can't even afford dreaming about affording a year long trip). No clue where we're going, but it should be a fun little adventure since we're not gonna plan that much of it in advance, maybe not even where we'll stay.

Anyways, have fun whenever it is that you're actually leaving. :P
