The film follows the much loved conductor Brendon O'Hara during the final weeks of his 20 year career as the old Routemaster buses are being phased out. Although he is soon to be made redundant, he remains dedicated to the job which he performs with humor and grace to the last.
Ken Livingston, Mr Mayor, watch this and tell me you haven't made a great mistake by axing this unique role from the life of the city.

What a great film! I was a railway guard in south london when they did the same to most local routes making them driver only trains. I heard many stories of vandalism and through train muggings where the driver remained oblivious to what was going on til he/she reached the terminus. Money is the only consideration for these people. What Brendan added to the journeys of his passengers is priceless. Shame on Ken Livingstone.....I bet he doesnt ride on buses.

Unbelievably well done! I actually wish it was longer. What an amazing man...so friendly, so dedicated. The relationship between Brendon and the riders is something that will surely be missed. In a town known for it's history and it's traditions...it's sad to see this one fall by the wayside.

    I Loved this movie!!!!

Great film, more so for the diversity of the people on the buses. Particularly like Brendan's comments on what use he would be on new buses now. So he's selling the Evening Standard now, is his pitch around Old Street somewhere...

What a pity and what a bittersweet piece of filming.
Excellent work - love the shots, the way you put it all together, the music. Very good indeed.

That brought back some memories (sigh) ...

I really enjoyed that, and raise a glass to Brendan and his ilk. The Routemaster (and, indeed, the conductor) are much missed.

    A good film!
