Go here:
postorg.irgendwem.de/nodemaster-prototype/backstage/
and enter in some data so we have bits to play with whilst making toys.
Sketch out a few ideas of what you want the layout to look like. Tell everyone what color scheme to use. Do the buttons have corners or nice rounded edges?
If you are feeling really adventurous, go here:
pine.fm/LearnToProgram/
and teach yourself how to program. I am. It's scary as hell but I really don't see any other way we are going to move from 0 to 1.

If you don't know programming, but understand how html works, this is the place where you can get going *right now*. Download the HTML, read the comments and try to relayout them, or integrate them to another page. The hidden sexiness of this nodemaster thing lies in that you can do stuff with the metadata from the shared database in your browser alone, where you'd usually need a webserver and database access.
It should be quite possible for example to connect tek's videowall to the database, so that he no longer has to keep track of everyone's ustream URLs on his own, but can use the database instead.
Oh and by watching this, I realized this definitely needs a snappier url. I'll get in touch with transiit how to make it available via backstage.postorg.org or sometjhing-.
i know that the people that have invested the most effort in getting things "re-established" are feeling a little discouraged about the rate of progress. to which i have the pat reply, "Rome was not built in a day, and neither was the ORG." Remember that ORG opened in January 07 after about 6 months of beta testing, right?
We are an odd collective, not assembled for maximum efficiency, but your efforts are appreciated. They really are. Things aren't terrible right now either. Since Jan 1st I have communicated with Sports Racers as frequently or moreso than I did prior to that date.
In terms of learning to program, I have found w3schools.com to be useful too.
Last, AJ, i have a basic question about video editing. How are you incorporating screen captures in your vids? And do you have a quick way of toggling between webcam and video screen capture?
Thanks for the video.

There's scant few people actually doing the work of making the new space. The common reply I hear is "lack of skill". We either need to move out of our comfort zone by a half a degree and simply try or be satisfied with the cobbled together arrangement we currently use.
But I will favorite that link at school and in off times I will read. It is something I intend to learn anyway and I am just sorry I can't do it faster. But I am certain everyone feels similarly.
I'll go to the back stage too.
I think phase two should be an advanced version of the bridge rather than the new space... use the bridge as a foundation or testing site.
So, hit me up if you need some help.
