Soundpad at The Fly, London
The British Council's Soundpad project explores the art of studio production and encourages creative dialogue between Indian and UK collaborators.
After a mammoth short-listing process, four bands from the alternative music scene in India - Medusa, Swarathma, Advaita and Indigo Children - were chosen to collaborate with top UK music producers, John Leckie and Dan Austin.
Each band worked with the producers to create new material. The resulting songs were then recorded at India’s Yash Raj studios and subsequently released on Faculty Music label.
This video documents the bands’ gig at The Fly in London, on their first tour to the UK.
Soundpad was produced by British Council. This video was made by Yeast Culture.
