It's an SMS enabled interactive graphic movie. This particular video is from a public projection on Halloween 2007. People in the streets send text messages to a displayed number. The messages, when received, trip the movie to play forward and the sent message appears in the next speech frame.
There is no filter and the whole system is automatic. It takes approximately 20 seconds (at most) to receive messages. This is dependent on your carrier.
