Switching on and off the light shows the rolling shutter effect? Or am I mistaken?

No, not just the on and off of the light, the camera in general has AWFUL rolling shutter. But I mostly use my D90 for photography, but the 7D's card was full when I shot this. I also wanted to see how the D90 did in low light...the blacks look AWFUL but the other parts don't look too bad. Darn bad compression on the D90.
