To see HD footage off of VIMEO, it's much better to log in (user accounts are free), and then you can download the source footage (about 50mg) to your local drive and watch it without the nasty compression. It's 10X the quality of Vimeo's compression.

Also, VIMEO makes two versions of the video, an HD and a standard. If you want to see it in HD in a download stream, you need to have the "HD is ON" selected. I think it does "HD is OFF" by default. The picture quality difference is HUGE. On older machines however it may not play as smoothly.
