  • Dave! This looks really great! How's the SG pro in comparison the the brevis?

hi Karen...you know i haven't had the chance to use the brevis...but i have used the SG, the redrock, and the letus and i really like the SGpro out of those 3...it looks like 16mm film to me, not so much the look of 35mm...i have never had an adapter that the focus was this sharp on...its crazy! sorry i couldn't help with the brevis question...ciao ciao

I have a brevis and am about to shoot a music vid with it. Just did some test footage this past weekend. I'm using it with an HV20 and a EX1. I like it but i'm not producing high end stuff yet, just getting up to speed on it all.

What's the name of the song?
  • Dave Christenson 2 months ago
it's "new men" by Lucky Dragons...there are 2 versions of the song which are pretty similar but this version is the older of the 2.

The quality of this picture is really worth the purchase of that Canon. Also how did you do those dolly shots from low to high to capture the bicyclist as he went around the turns. I have to say the quality is amazing. Thanks for sharing,.

Thanks a lot! I'm glad you liked it! Those shots were from a 12' jib arm...so as the cyclist comes into the corner we were jibbing down and left, then the next shot we jibbed up and over to the left...

i actually just called the owner up a couple of years ago and pitched him an idea that has still yet to happen...i want to ride my bicycle from Italy to Spain and hit every famous climb that is from the Giro d'Italia, the Tour de France, and and the Vuelta a España about 1600 miles within 12 days...he was way into it and sent me loads of clothes but unfortunately i was hit by a car while training...had surgery and was off the bike for 8 months...now i'm just getting back on form so i think we're planning to do it next summer...so i'll have to talk to them again and secure a few more sponsors...oh! and hopefully the whole doc will be shot on the RED camera...i'll send you some test footage we recently shot on the RED...

I heard that the kid you use as a set photographer is second only to me. You're pretty lucky to have him on your crew.
