What tripod did you use? I like the pans following the boats.

The panning for the first few seconds is quite jumpy, i think this is a vimeo issue.
    Good video otherwise.

Yes, try the original file. Vimeo re-encodes at 24fps instead of the original 30fps, and it doesn't do it correctly, and so all pannings come out with judder.

    Hello Eugenia...dug your Clip
One thing i noticed is the lagging when panning or on quick movements.
Now the problem appears cause of downconverting from 1080i to 720 as u mentioned above.
I tried 30fps on my clip and it still laggs on my Laptop screen (1280x800)...is it possible to view a downconverted 1080i clip totally without lagging on such a resolution?
    thanks in advance
  • Eugenia Loli-Queru plus 2 years ago
No, because the original clip is 60i, while the exported is 30p. Half the frame rate. And on top of that, Vimeo removes 6 frames too. And so all that contributes to jerky quick panning.

    Cool thanks for the feedback....
well i found out i can view my 1080i footage on my 1280x800 resolution screen when i change the deinterlace modus to bob on my Vlc or nero player.
How is this even possible when 1080i is 1440x1080resolution?
Shouldn't it lag or so...not that that i would like it to :-)
  • Eugenia Loli-Queru plus 2 years ago
No, it wouldn't lag if you have a fast laptop. It just resizes the frame, it doesn't do anything else.

Ok now i'm gonna run and tell my friends that i had a brief back & forth with one of the Hv20.com gurus.
Love that site by the way...thanks for the input.

I like how it plays like a commerical, all it needs is a come to here slogan. lol. Great editing.

View the whole video and you will find out. I always give credit the way Creative Commons requires it, with URLs and all.

Nice video! You are very lucky to live near such a beautiful area! I love in drowsy Minnesota. The land of 10,000 lakes. Whoopee! :)
