This is my contribution to the amazing shoebox world channel ( vimeo.com/theshoeboxworld )
Special Thanks to Remyyy for sharing this incredible idea and taking time to show how to make a shoebox. He has for sure endless creativity!
Also to Jay Boy for showing how to work with the plastic.
I tried that plastic that jay uses and it was too much texture, so for sure it was not the same... will keep searching because his shoebox videos looks great! End up with this plastic, it has some scratches but kind of like cause gives an "old movie" style.
Comments and suggestions are welcome :)

Cool, and it's definitely a pleasure, even more watching this.

    Really appreciate it Remyyy!
One thing i thought it was that with the small hole for the lens i had to hold the camera with one hand and the shoebox with the other... that's why it is a little bit shaky... how do u manage that?

Ahah, same way as you are and that's why it's shaky too.

Nice! Yeah, getting the right light and finding the correct screen to use inside the box can be fun. Looks good! I need to get out and film with mine.

    Glad you liked it Jay!
The plastic idea was perfect... easier to handle.
Hope to see your next shoebox videos!
    Cheers!

I just picked up some mylar drafting film scraps from a local repro-printing shop (aka blueprint shop but nobody does blueprints much anymore). You might also get it from any place that sells art & drafting supplies, but it's expensive by the pad or roll. It's probably the smoothest, most texture-free flexible translucent material out there. I also looked at some plastic stenciling film which is thicker and stiffer than mylar, but it has as much texture as tracing vellum, if not more.
