First of all, sorry for not uploading anything for such a long time. I was quite ill for a while and didn't have the energy to edit videos. I'm a lot better now though, and starting to put together the raw footage I have had for ages. So the videos I upload over the next few weeks, will be mainly things that happened a few months ago.

Anyway, this is footage from Guy Fawkes night last year. I got the idea of backwards fireworks from Bill Newsinger's video vimeo.com/373652

I think fireworks actually look better backwards

It's good, it seems to get bigger each year. As does the fireworks budget - it was a lot better this year than previous years - so I was glad I had my camera with me.

The story is quite nasty when you think about it - essentially we are celebrating someone being executed. But now it seems more about the event itself as a time when family comes together to watch fireworks and a few other traditions.

During the first seconds of the fireworks, I was : Remi, is that backwards or not ? Are you crazy ? Then I was relieved, ahah. It definitely looks better that way.

Haha, yeah, not all of it is backwards.

The first time I showed my mum the video, I didn't tell her that some of it was backwards. It took her a little while to notice, and then she wasn't sure what was happening. It made me laugh to see how confused she was.
