This video was shot handheld with my new HV20. In Final Cut Pro I sped the first sequence up 20 times normal speed, the second 16 times, the third 16 times. I exported as DVCPRO HD clips and reimported them and applied the SmoothCam filter.

In the second shot the filter sometimes thought that passing cars where the content that needed to be smoothed, so there are computer generated whip pans in this sequence.

Great Job! Almost as good as using a tripod.

Terrific. You could have passed it off as time lapse and I wouldn't know the difference.

What settings did you use on the HV20? 24p? If so, did you remove the interlacing before editing--I ask because the motion blur is very natural-looking, not like it's video interlacing.

As I use a PAL HV20, I shot as 25p. I used Tv (shutter priority) mode at a 1/6th of a second. That means the motion blur when speeding it up looks correct at 4 times actual speed and higher.
