So cool! I loved it Ry.
Loved the way you made the snow look like it was "falling" up.
Livie says your videos are always so awesome.
    Great work, once again.

haha, did you try to sleep in a staircase?

  • YouHadMeAtASL 4 months ago
Yeah the first night in Tokyo I slept on that staircase from like 6-9 am. It was definitely one of my crazier nights in Japan.

Big ups to the Oregon sweatshirt making a cameo here...
Once again I'm lovin it. I really like your panning shot at the beginning as well as your continuous fantastic ability to capture the essence of your experience abroad.

This was awesome. The shots were killer and the use of 7l and Esoteric was brilliant. Great all around.

Really good. Liked the music with the video. felt like a movie o.o. whats up with the end? lol or what ever

  • YouHadMeAtASL 3 months ago
My first night there I was at a club with some people I had met until 6 or so in the morning. So I was walking around looking for some place to sleep, got tired of it and walked up some random staircase and fell asleep for a few hours.

Awesome. I'll be watching it again a few more times. I love all the little warps of time and speed shifts. I love how Tokyo is lit, too. I'd recommend sleeping on the Yamanote line rather than that stairwell.
  • YouHadMeAtASL 3 months ago
Yeah I bet it'd be a little bit warmer there. I leave for Kyoto tomorrow morn for a few days while the sakura are still blooming. You ever been?
    Thanks for the comment:D

I just watched your "Spring at the Windows" video, too. Really dug that, too. I've been to Kyoto a few times. The Kyoto JR station is a pretty awesome modern architectural work. My favorite temple there is the rock garden at Ryoanji. Kiyomizu is cool, too, as are the other famous ones, Ginkakuji and Kinkakuji. I wish I could recommend somewhere more off the beaten track, but I didn't stray too far from the famous places myself.

Beautiful video!! you captured the pace and colors of the Japanese city.. you really have the knack for getting great shots and your editing is right on target... loved it!

Yes, your video made all those places I've seen many times still look new and fresh. Very complementive audio choice.

What camera did you film all that with? And what did you use to edit it?
