Teahupoo Tahiti Surf - HD
A music video of surf footage I shot at Teahupoo in Tahiti, French Polynesia. (pronounced cho-poo) It was shot on Nov 2, 2007. The music is Remember (cinematrik rework) by Hisboyelroy, vocals by Fort Minor. his-boy-elroy.com/
THIS FILE IS BIG, GIVE IT SOME TIME TO LOAD.

From Surfline:
Teahupo'o is a world-renowned surfing location off the south-east of the island of Tahiti, French Polynesia, southern Pacific Ocean. This isn't your father's perfect wave, and unless seeing your next birthday doesn't rank on your list of priorities, it isn't yours either. Tahiti's Teahupoo is essentially a glorified closeout -- a hideous, deadly barrel promising a heap of trouble for even the most capable of surfers. In recent years, professional contests and high-profile tow-ins have bombarded us with images of their seemingly flawless barrels, but no other surf spot extracts a higher toll than Teahupoo, the heaviest wave in the world.
On August 17, 2000 Laird Hamilton is credited with surfing the heaviest wave ever ridden, documented in the film Riding Giants.

Loved watching "Rainbow wig" guy wipe out!
dude it's surprisingly chilly to watch this vid with that song, lol.
And what camera did you use to shoot this?
Your next mission is to shoot when the ASP tour hits Teahupoo. I would love to see some raw footage of Slater, the Irons, and FL boys like the Hobgoods.
Thanks for sharing!
P.S. you are REALLY good at recording these!
P.P.S. I hope that there are many more!
