Shot on HV20, not color corrected, focusing done on Puny LCD, results will be much better for both if you have an external monitor. Both indoor shots had low light.

thank you for this comparison. may i ask where you got your plans for the DIY and how much you spent total on it?

the above link resolves to SGPro adapter... not some DIY

The DIY version seems to have a barrel distortion, while the Letus didn't.

Brilliant, just what I was looking for! I currently have a DIY (two-neil) one and am tempted by a Letus mini. I take it you are pleased with the Letus mini?

The letus seemed to be a lot brighter on one of the scenes but I reckon that had more to do with the exposure on the video camera. I imagine the letus mini has an achromatic adapter on it. I'm guessing the DIY one does not. I am just speculating but it might have something to do with the barrel distortion on the DIY one.

Great comparisons. I prefered the DIY, it had no hotspot in the center of the frame. Excellent edge sharpness on both adapters

thanks for that comparsion, whats now missing is a 3rd sample of a DIY-adapter that uses a EE-A screen, i assume the lightloss will be less since the EE-A is less opaque then the EE-S and therefore get closer to the letus. What i also read a lot is people mentioning an achromat, it makes achromatica aberration disappear but what annoys me that quit often the DOF looks kind of circular, like a radial blur. anyone knows of a solutions to get rid of the achromatic aberration without the messy DOF ???

Was the DIY a kit? If so, how much did it cost you?

On the shot through the railing across the city the barrel distortion of the DiY is most apparent. How about a test with the Letus adapter, DiY adapter and no adapter, all wide open with the same camera settings to get an idea of light lost?
