Sigg Jones is a student project I co-directed with Jonathan Vuillemin and Matthieu Bessudo aka mcbess. It was made in 2006 for our graduation using 3DSMax and V-Ray as a render engine. Check the website for more infos: siggjones.com

The stop-action reference fight sequence about 3 minutes in is genius. The part where it feels like a bunch of still images like a flip book… It is a great animation technique that I don't really see being used very often. It conveys the sense of fast-motion without actually animating one character moving in slow-motion.

hey guys wassup. im very impressed with the sigg jones and galactic mall video. is there any place i can check out your storyboard and concepts and stuff ? it would be awesome if i could check those out. i want to do projects like this but I dont have any friends who are interested in things like this, they just want to go work and thats it lol. so do i but its not enuf satisfaction at the end of the day. let me know. my demo reel should be on vimeo by the end of today. cheers and thanks for giving us such an amazing cg video.

Just stumbled on this. Do you ever collaborate, sending raw files and allowing film makers to use some of ur animations in their stories or concepts, non commercially? With full or co-crediting of course?
